Eternal Progression • A Fuller Life for Everyone • Live and Help Live
“The kingdom of God is among you.” — Luke 17:21
🌍 Interfaith Prayer for Peace
Peace Begins Where We Are
Sacred Mystery, known by many names and encountered beyond every name,
We often imagine peace as something that must happen somewhere else—in governments, negotiations, distant nations, or halls of power.
Today, remind us that peace also begins wherever human beings encounter one another.
We join our hearts with Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Pagans, Baháʼís, followers of Indigenous traditions, humanists, seekers, doubters, agnostics, atheists, and all who seek a fuller life for every being.
May peace begin around our tables.
May peace enter our neighborhoods.
May peace shape our religious communities.
May peace transform the way we disagree.
Where war destroys communities, strengthen those protecting civilians, providing humanitarian care, negotiating, reconciling, and working toward a just peace.
Where people flee violence and persecution, may they encounter safety and welcome.
Where hunger exists beside abundance, awaken generosity and justice.
Where prejudice divides communities, give us courage to defend human dignity.
Where religions distrust one another, raise up friendships stronger than inherited suspicion.
Where political differences tempt us to dehumanize one another, remind us that no political label contains the whole of a human life.
Where the Earth suffers from exploitation, teach us that peace with one another requires peace with the living world.
We cannot personally solve every conflict.
But we can refuse to manufacture another one.
Today, may we interrupt one cycle of hostility.
May we listen once when we would rather argue.
May we forgive when forgiveness is appropriate.
May we apologize when we have caused harm.
May we defend someone being mistreated.
May we refuse the easy pleasure of contempt.
Peace within us.
Peace between us.
Peace among religions.
Peace among nations.
Peace with the Earth.
Let the world we hope for begin somewhere.
Let It Begin Where We Are.
Amen. So may it be. Salaam. Shalom. Blessed be.
Peace to all beings.
🌿 Daily Kilubansa Healing Ritual
The Sacred Pause
Place a bowl of clean water before you.
Beside it, place a leaf, familiar herb, flower, seed, or stone.
Sit comfortably.
For a moment, do absolutely nothing.
No fixing.
No achieving.
No becoming.
Simply breathe.
With your first slow breath say:
I am here.
With your second:
This moment is enough.
With your third:
I give myself permission to pause.
Invocation
Sacred Source of Healing,
Kilubansa, healing presence,
Meet us within the pause.
Our world celebrates movement.
Productivity.
Achievement.
Speed.
But bodies require rest.
Minds require quiet.
Hearts require space.
Even Earth knows seasons when fields lie fallow.
Teach us that rest is not the enemy of progress.
Sometimes rest is progress.
Bless those whose bodies are exhausted.
Bless those whose minds are overwhelmed.
Bless those living with pain, illness, disability, grief, or uncertainty.
Bless those who cannot accomplish everything they once could.
May human dignity never be measured by productivity.
Bless caregivers who need moments when they are allowed to receive care themselves.
Bless physicians, nurses, therapists, healers, chaplains, families, friends, and communities who understand that sometimes the most healing thing they can offer is presence.
Healing Action
Touch the water.
Say:
Water does not apologize for becoming still.
Touch your forehead.
My mind is allowed to rest.
Touch your heart.
My worth does not depend upon what I accomplish today.
Touch your hands.
These hands are allowed to become still.
Hold your natural object.
Notice its texture.
Do not ask it to teach you anything.
Do not turn this into another assignment.
Simply hold it.
For several breaths, practice being rather than doing.
Then ask gently:
What would genuine rest look like for me today?
Perhaps sleep.
Perhaps quiet.
Perhaps accepting help.
Perhaps stepping away from a screen.
Perhaps sitting outdoors.
Perhaps prayer.
Perhaps laughter.
Perhaps doing something simply because you enjoy it.
Closing
Say:
I am more than my productivity.
My dignity does not disappear when I need help.
Rest is part of life.
Receiving is part of life.
Pausing is part of healing.
Today, I will honor the sacred pause.
I will live and help live.
So may it be.
This contemplative spiritual practice complements rather than replaces appropriate professional healthcare.
✝️ Order of Franciscan Clareans Reflection
You Are Not a Machine
Our culture has a strange religion.
Its god is productivity.
Its commandments sound something like:
Do more.
Work harder.
Grow faster.
Stay busy.
Turn every hobby into a business.
Turn every moment into content.
Optimize everything.
Then Francis walks into the story barefoot and ruins the whole system.
Francis measured wealth differently.
He discovered abundance through simplicity, relationships, creation, prayer, service, and community.
Clare resisted attempts to force her community into conventional structures of property and security because she understood that possessing more did not necessarily mean living more fully.
Jesus was remarkably unimpressed by status and accumulation.
He repeatedly redirected attention toward relationships, mercy, justice, generosity, and life.
The Franciscan Clarean path therefore asks a wonderfully inconvenient question:
What if your value cannot be measured by your productivity?
You are valuable when you work.
You are valuable when you rest.
You are valuable when you help somebody.
You are valuable when somebody must help you.
You are valuable when you accomplish something impressive.
You are valuable when getting through the day is accomplishment enough.
This matters because communities built entirely around productivity inevitably begin treating people as disposable.
The elderly.
Disabled people.
Children.
People experiencing illness.
People living in poverty.
Anyone whose economic output does not satisfy the machinery.
The Gospel offers another vision.
People are not units of production.
People are neighbors.
Creation is not inventory.
It is kin.
Time is not merely a resource to monetize.
It is life.
A fuller life cannot mean squeezing maximum productivity from every human being.
It must mean creating communities where people have opportunities for meaning, relationship, creativity, dignity, rest, participation, and joy.
Our objective is Eternal Progression.
Our goal is A Fuller Life for Everyone.
Our slogan is Live and Help Live.
And sometimes eternal progression looks suspiciously like taking a nap.
Francis would probably approve.
Live simply.
Work meaningfully.
Rest unapologetically.
Love generously.
Never confuse someone’s productivity with their worth.
✨ Order of ChristoCorrellians Ritual
The Sabbath of Earth and Spirit
Place a candle or electric candle before you.
Beside it, place a bowl of water, a stone, and a leaf, flower, or plant.
Take three slow breaths.
Say:
Sacred Mystery,
God and Goddess,
Christ and Holy Wisdom,
Divine Feminine and Sacred Spirit,
teach me the holiness of rest.
East — The Resting Breath
Face or visualize the East.
Say:
Sacred Air, enter and leave without striving.
Take one slow breath.
Teach me the wisdom of simply breathing.
South — The Banked Fire
Turn toward the South.
Say:
Sacred Fire, even flame does not always burn brightly.
Teach me that energy can be conserved without being lost.
West — The Still Water
Turn toward the West.
Touch the water.
Say:
Sacred Water, rivers move and lakes become still.
Teach me that both movement and stillness belong to life.
North — The Resting Earth
Turn toward the North.
Touch the stone or plant.
Say:
Sacred Earth, fields require fallow seasons.
Seeds wait beneath soil.
Trees become quiet in winter.
Teach me that hidden seasons are not wasted seasons.
Return to the Center
Look toward the candle.
Say:
Christ, who withdrew from crowds and sought quiet places, remind me that spiritual life requires rhythm.
Touch the Earth.
Divine Mother, teach me the wisdom of cycles—activity and rest, growth and release, daylight and darkness.
Touch the water.
Holy Spirit, breathe through me without demanding performance.
Place your hands over your heart.
God and Goddess, Sacred Mystery, free me from believing that I must earn the right to exist.
Pause.
Imagine setting down a heavy backpack.
Inside it are expectations:
Be productive.
Be impressive.
Be useful.
Keep everyone happy.
Never need assistance.
Never slow down.
Imagine removing the backpack.
Say:
I Release the Burden of Impossible Expectations.
Now pray:
May Christianity teach me Sabbath rather than endless striving.
May Correllian and Pagan wisdom reconnect me with Earth’s sacred cycles.
May other traditions teach me forms of contemplation and rest I have not yet discovered.
May science teach me to respect the body’s genuine need for restoration.
May experience teach me when enough is enough.
May I work when work is needed.
May I rest when rest is needed.
May neither become a source of shame.
Raise your hands slightly.
Air breathes.
Fire rests.
Water becomes still.
Earth lies fallow.
Christ withdraws to quiet places.
Spirit remains present.
Sacred Mystery asks nothing from this moment.
For Now, Being Is Enough.
I will live and help live.
Amen and blessed be.
🌱 The Urban Pilgrim’s Practice
Waste Ten Minutes
Today, deliberately spend ten minutes accomplishing absolutely nothing useful.
Sit under a tree.
Watch clouds.
Listen to birds.
Drink tea slowly.
Pet an animal.
Look out a window.
Listen to music without multitasking.
Don’t photograph it.
Don’t post it.
Don’t turn it into a spiritual achievement.
Don’t optimize your relaxation.
That would rather defeat the purpose.
Just exist for ten minutes.
The world will probably continue spinning without your supervision.
And afterward, remember:
You Were Alive During Those Ten Minutes.
They weren’t wasted.
📖 Pilgrim’s Blessing
May the Sacred Mystery meet you when you stop striving.
May Christ remind you that love cannot be measured by productivity.
May the Divine Feminine teach you the sacred rhythm of activity and rest.
May the Spirit breathe through moments when nothing seems to be happening.
May Brother Sun remind you to rise when it is time.
May Sister Moon remind you to rest when it is time.
May Sister Water teach you both movement and stillness.
May Brother Wind remind you that breathing itself is enough for this moment.
May Mother Earth hold you without asking for your résumé.
May you work without becoming your work.
May you serve without disappearing inside service.
May you receive help without shame.
May you rest without apology.
May you remember that simply being alive places you within the sacred community of life.
Eternal Progression.
A Fuller Life for Everyone.
Live and Help Live.
Remember:
We Are One.
Breathe.
Rest.
Then, when you are ready—
Keep Walking.
Amen. So may it be.
