Eternal Progression. A Fuller Life for Everyone. Live and Help Live.
“The whole law is summed up in a single commandment, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” — Galatians 5:14
🌍 Interfaith Prayer for Peace
We Are One
Sacred Mystery,
known by many names and encountered through many paths,
today we remember a truth easily forgotten:
We are one.
We are not identical.
We do not share one religion, one culture, one language, one theology, or one way of understanding the world.
Yet beneath these beautiful differences runs a deeper kinship.
We share one Earth.
We breathe one atmosphere.
We drink from one planetary cycle of water.
We belong to one human family.
So today we pray alongside Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Pagans, Baháʼís, practitioners of Indigenous traditions, humanists, seekers, doubters, agnostics, atheists, and all who labor for the flourishing of life.
Where religion divides us, teach us relationship.
Where politics turns neighbors into enemies, restore our common humanity.
Where racism teaches superiority, awaken solidarity.
Where poverty separates those who possess abundance from those denied life’s necessities, turn compassion into justice.
Where war destroys families and communities, protect civilians, strengthen peacemakers, and awaken leaders to the terrible human cost of violence.
Where refugees seek safety, let hospitality overcome suspicion.
Where people are rejected because of who they are, make our communities places of belonging.
Where creation suffers, remind us that harming Earth ultimately means harming ourselves.
Sacred Mystery, help us understand that unity does not require uniformity.
A forest is one ecosystem precisely because it contains countless forms of life.
Humanity can become one community without becoming one culture.
May our differences become gifts exchanged rather than weapons raised.
May we disagree without dehumanizing.
May we hold convictions without demanding domination.
May we seek truth without pretending we possess all of it.
May we recognize that another person’s liberation does not diminish our own.
Their hunger is connected to us.
Their freedom is connected to us.
Their suffering is connected to us.
Their flourishing is connected to us.
Teach us to live as though this were true.
Because it is.
We are one Earth.
We are one human family.
We share one fragile future.
May peace begin when we finally recognize ourselves in one another.
Amen.
So may it be.
Salaam.
Shalom.
Blessed be.
Peace to all beings.
🌿 Daily Kilubansa Healing Ritual
The Circle of Shared Healing
Place a bowl of clean water at the center of your sacred space.
Around it, place several natural objects if available: stones, leaves, flowers, seeds, or familiar herbs.
Let each object represent someone or some community in need of healing.
Take three gentle breaths.
Say:
I breathe for myself.
I breathe with my community.
I breathe with the living Earth.
Invocation
Sacred Source of Healing,
Kilubansa, healing presence,
meet us within this circle.
Remind us that healing rarely happens alone.
Every person is held within relationships.
Bodies depend upon food, water, air, shelter, medicine, companionship, and care.
Hearts depend upon belonging.
Communities depend upon one another.
Humanity depends upon Earth.
May those who are sick receive compassionate care.
May those who grieve receive patient companionship.
May those whose bodies live with pain receive comfort and support.
May those whose minds are weary be treated with dignity.
May caregivers receive rest.
May healers receive wisdom.
May families receive strength.
May communities learn that caring for vulnerable people is not charity alone—it is part of what makes us human.
Healing Action
Touch the first natural object.
Say:
For myself, I ask compassion.
Touch another.
For those I love, I ask healing.
Touch another.
For strangers whose suffering I may never see, I ask mercy.
Touch the water.
Watch the ripples move outward.
Say:
Healing moves in circles.
Place both hands over your heart.
When I receive care, I am strengthened to care for others.
Extend your hands outward.
When I offer care, the circle grows.
Now imagine countless circles touching one another until they form one great web across the Earth.
Say:
No one heals entirely alone.
No one flourishes entirely alone.
We belong to one another.
Remain quietly for several breaths.
Closing
Touch the water once more.
Say:
May I receive help without shame.
May I offer help without superiority.
May healing deepen relationship.
May compassion become community.
I will live and help live.
So may it be.
This contemplative spiritual practice complements rather than replaces appropriate professional healthcare.
✝️ Order of Franciscan Clareans Reflection
There Is No Such Thing as a Self-Made Person
Francis called the sun his brother.
He called the moon his sister.
He called Earth his mother.
That language can sound quaint until we understand how radical it really is.
Francis was describing relationship.
Nothing exists entirely by itself.
The food on your table required soil, rain, sunlight, farmers, transportation, workers, and countless ecological relationships.
The clothes you wear passed through many hands.
The language you use was given to you by generations you never met.
Even your next breath depends upon plants and planetary systems you did not create.
The idea of the completely independent individual is largely an illusion.
We are profoundly interdependent.
Jesus understood this in the language of neighbor-love.
Francis understood it through kinship with creation.
Clare understood it through community.
The Franciscan Clarean path carries this insight forward:
My flourishing is connected to your flourishing.
If my comfort depends upon another person’s exploitation, something is wrong.
If my religion requires another person’s exclusion, something is wrong.
If my freedom depends upon denying someone else’s dignity, something is wrong.
If my lifestyle destroys the ecosystems future generations need, something is wrong.
This is why our maxim can be so simple:
We Are One.
Not because differences are imaginary.
Differences matter.
Cultures matter.
Identities matter.
Stories matter.
But difference exists within relationship.
Brother Sun is not Sister Water.
Sister Moon is not Mother Earth.
Yet all belong within one sacred community of creation.
Likewise, unity does not ask us to become identical.
It asks us to recognize that nobody’s life exists in isolation.
So our objective remains eternal progression.
Our goal remains a fuller life for everyone.
And our slogan remains:
Live and Help Live.
Not merely live.
And not merely help.
Both.
Develop your own life while helping others develop theirs.
Seek your freedom while defending the freedom of others.
Discover your path without blocking someone else’s.
Become more fully yourself while helping create a world where others can become more fully themselves.
That is fraternity.
That is solidarity.
That is Franciscan kinship.
That is the Gospel lived socially.
Live simply.
Love boldly.
Share freely.
Protect dignity.
Remember our kinship.
We are one.
✨ Order of ChristoCorrellians Ritual
The Sacred Web of Life
Place a candle or electric candle at the center of your sacred space.
Around it place symbols of the four elements if available:
A feather for Air.
A flame or safe symbol for Fire.
A bowl of water for Water.
A stone, plant, or soil for Earth.
Take three breaths.
Say:
Sacred Mystery,
God and Goddess,
Christ and Holy Wisdom,
Divine Feminine and Sacred Spirit,
Presence moving through the web of creation,
meet me here.
East — Air
Face or visualize the East.
Say:
Sacred Air,
the breath I receive has traveled through forests, oceans, animals, and countless living beings.
Teach me interdependence.
South — Fire
Turn toward the South.
Say:
Sacred Fire,
the energy of ancient stars burns within creation.
Awaken courage within me.
West — Water
Turn toward the West.
Say:
Sacred Water,
you travel through clouds, rivers, bodies, roots, and oceans.
Teach me that boundaries are more porous than they appear.
North — Earth
Turn toward the North.
Say:
Sacred Earth,
every body eventually returns to you.
Teach me humility and belonging.
Return to the center.
Look toward the candle.
Say:
Christ, teacher of radical neighbor-love,
expand my understanding of who my neighbor is.
Touch the Earth.
Divine Mother,
teach me that creation is community rather than commodity.
Touch the water.
Holy Spirit,
flow through the boundaries that keep compassion small.
Place your hands over your heart.
God and Goddess,
Sacred Mystery beyond every human category,
awaken me to the sacred web connecting all life.
The Web
Imagine threads of light extending outward from you.
One reaches toward your family.
Another toward friends.
Another toward strangers.
Another toward people with whom you disagree.
Other threads reach toward animals, forests, rivers, oceans, mountains, and the soil beneath your feet.
Soon you stand within an immense web of light.
Say:
I do not stand outside creation.
I belong within it.
I do not stand outside humanity.
I belong within it.
My choices travel through the web.
The choices of others reach me.
Now pray:
May Christianity teach me radical neighbor-love.
May Pagan wisdom deepen my reverence for the living Earth.
May science reveal the astonishing interconnectedness of life.
May other traditions widen my understanding of community.
May difference never become an excuse for domination.
May spirituality lead me toward relationship rather than separation.
Pause.
Then say:
Many paths.
Many peoples.
Many creatures.
Many stories.
One living Earth.
Raise your hands slightly.
We are connected.
We are becoming.
We are one.
May I live and help live.
Amen and blessed be.
🌱 The Urban Pilgrim’s Practice
Notice What Makes Your Life Possible
Today, choose one ordinary thing.
A cup of coffee.
A meal.
A shirt.
A book.
A glass of water.
Then trace its relationships.
Who grew it?
Who made it?
Who transported it?
What plants, animals, minerals, ecosystems, workers, technologies, and communities made it possible?
You may discover that something apparently simple contains an entire world.
Then say:
I did not arrive here alone.
Gratitude becomes deeper when we recognize our interdependence.
And gratitude becomes justice when we begin caring about the lives behind the things we consume.
📖 Pilgrim’s Blessing
May the Sacred Mystery reveal the invisible threads connecting your life with others.
May Christ expand your definition of neighbor.
May the Divine Feminine teach you the wisdom of relationship.
May the Spirit remind you that the breath within your lungs is shared with the living world.
May Brother Sun shine upon every nation without checking borders.
May Sister Water travel freely through the great cycles of Earth.
May Brother Wind remind you that nobody owns the atmosphere.
May Mother Earth hold every human body without asking our religion.
May you become fully yourself without needing anyone else to become smaller.
May your freedom strengthen freedom.
May your healing create healing.
May your learning create possibility.
May your life help life flourish.
Eternal Progression.
A Fuller Life for Everyone.
Live and Help Live.
Remember the truth beneath all our beautiful differences:
We Are One.
And tomorrow—
we walk again.
Amen. So may it be.
