Interfaith Prayer for Peace

July 31, 2026

Holy Mystery, Known by many names and beyond every name, Source of Life, Compassion, and Love, we come before You with humble hearts.

We give thanks for the beauty of this earth, for the breath in our lungs, for the people who walk beside us, and for the hope that still rises with each new day.

Bless Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, Pagans, Indigenous peoples, Humanists, and all who sincerely seek truth, wisdom, and compassion. Help us to see one another not as enemies to conquer, but as neighbors to cherish.

Where there is hatred, awaken understanding. Where there is fear, awaken courage. Where there is violence, awaken the longing for peace. Where there is despair, awaken hope.

Teach us to listen before we speak, to heal before we judge, to forgive without forgetting the lessons of history, and to work together for justice with humility and love.

May we protect the poor, welcome the stranger, care for the sick, honor the dignity of every person, and cherish the earth that sustains us all.

Guide the leaders of every nation and every faith community with wisdom, compassion, and integrity. May they choose dialogue over division, mercy over vengeance, and cooperation over conflict.

May each of us become a living prayer— bringing kindness into angry places, light into darkness, hope into discouragement, and love into every encounter.

May peace begin within our own hearts, flow into our homes, spread throughout our communities, and embrace the whole human family.

Amen. Ameen. Shalom. Salaam. Om Shanti. Blessed Be. May it be so.
