Eternal Progression • A Fuller Life for Everyone • Live and Help Live
“Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”
— Amos 5:24
🌍 Interfaith Prayer for Peace
Let Peace Become Justice
Sacred Mystery, known through many names and encountered beyond every name,
Today we gather in the hope of peace.
We join our hearts with Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Pagans, Baháʼís, practitioners of Indigenous traditions, humanists, seekers, doubters, agnostics, atheists, and all who seek a fuller life for every being.
Teach us that peace is more than the absence of conflict.
There can be silence without justice.
There can be order without freedom.
There can be comfort for some while others suffer unseen.
Give us courage to seek a peace rooted in dignity.
Where people are hungry, may peace look like bread.
Where people are unhoused, may peace look like shelter.
Where people are lonely, may peace look like companionship.
Where people experience discrimination, may peace look like solidarity.
Where communities are torn apart by war, may peace look like ceasefire, reconciliation, rebuilding, and hope.
Where religious communities have contributed to division, may they become laboratories of friendship.
Where Earth is exploited, may peace extend beyond humanity to rivers, forests, animals, oceans, and generations not yet born.
Help us remember:
We Are One.
Our lives are intertwined.
The suffering of another person does not become irrelevant because they live beyond our border, pray differently, vote differently, look differently, or understand the Sacred differently.
May our prayers become practices.
May our compassion become justice.
May our justice remain compassionate.
May our spirituality produce a fuller life for everyone.
Peace within us.
Peace between us.
Peace among nations.
Peace among religions.
Peace with the Earth.
May we live and help live.
Amen. So may it be. Salaam. Shalom. Blessed be.
Peace to all beings.
🌿 Daily Kilubansa Healing Ritual
The Waters of Renewal
Preparation
Place a bowl of clean water before you.
Beside it, place a leaf, flower, familiar herb, seed, or stone.
Take three slow breaths.
With the first breath say:
I am present.
With the second:
I am worthy of care.
With the third:
I welcome renewal.
Invocation
Sacred Source of Healing,
Kilubansa, healing presence,
Meet us beside these waters.
Water does not remain frozen forever.
Rivers move.
Rain falls.
Seeds awaken.
Bodies rest and rise again.
Life continually changes.
Teach us to honor healing as a process rather than a demand.
May those whose bodies hurt receive compassionate care.
May those whose minds are weary receive patience.
May those carrying grief receive companionship.
May those facing uncertainty receive courage for this moment.
May caregivers receive rest.
May healers receive wisdom.
May communities understand that caring for one another is sacred work.
And when healing does not mean cure, may dignity, comfort, relationship, meaning, and love remain abundant.
Healing Action
Touch the surface of the water gently.
Watch the ripples move outward.
Say:
One small movement changes the water.
Touch your forehead.
May one gentle thought begin renewal.
Touch your heart.
May one act of compassion begin healing.
Touch your hands.
May one loving action travel farther than I can see.
Now hold your natural object.
Imagine one area of your life where you desire renewal.
Do not demand immediate transformation.
Simply say:
I give myself permission to begin where I am.
Remain silent for several breaths.
Then ask:
What is one life-giving thing I can do today?
Let the answer be small.
Drink water.
Rest.
Call someone.
Ask for help.
Take your medicine as prescribed.
Step outside.
Pray.
Laugh.
Eat something nourishing.
Make an appointment you have been postponing.
Small actions matter.
Closing
Touch the water once more.
Say:
Healing may come slowly.
Progress may be small.
Rest may be necessary.
Help may be needed.
I honor every movement toward a fuller life.
I receive healing.
I participate in healing.
I will live and help live.
So may it be.
This contemplative spiritual practice complements rather than replaces appropriate professional healthcare.
✝️ Order of Franciscan Clareans Reflection
The Gospel Is Not a Membership Test
Jesus never handed his followers a theological entrance examination.
He said things far more inconvenient:
Feed people.
Forgive.
Love your neighbor.
Welcome the stranger.
Care for the vulnerable.
Love your enemies.
Christianity has sometimes made believing the correct things easier than doing the difficult things Jesus actually taught.
Francis refused that shortcut.
He wanted the Gospel lived.
Clare wanted the Gospel embodied through simplicity, community, contemplation, and courageous love.
Their witness invites the Order of Franciscan Clareans to remain radically anti-dogmatic without becoming anti-wisdom.
Theology matters.
Scripture matters.
Tradition matters.
Scholarship matters.
But none should become an idol.
The question is not simply:
“Is this orthodox?”
We must also ask:
“What does this produce?”
Does our theology produce compassion?
Does our interpretation protect human dignity?
Does our church make room for questions?
Does our spirituality liberate people or control them?
Does our Christianity make us better neighbors?
Jesus said trees are recognized by their fruit.
Perhaps theology should be evaluated similarly.
If a doctrine repeatedly produces fear, exclusion, cruelty, domination, or despair, we should have the courage to examine it.
If an interpretation produces compassion, courage, justice, humility, reconciliation, and abundant life, we should pay attention.
This doesn’t mean truth doesn’t matter.
It means truth should never fear examination.
The Franciscan Clarean path is not:
Believe everything you’re told.
It is:
Walk. Question. Learn. Love. Serve. Grow.
Our objective is Eternal Progression.
Our goal is a Fuller Life for Everyone.
Our slogan is Live and Help Live.
And our test remains beautifully demanding:
What kind of fruit does this produce?
Live simply.
Question courageously.
Study deeply.
Love radically.
Keep becoming.
✨ Order of ChristoCorrellians Ritual
The Four Lights of Discernment
Preparation
Place a candle or electric candle in the center of your sacred space.
If available, place around it symbols of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
Take three gentle breaths.
Say:
Sacred Mystery,
God and Goddess,
Christ and Holy Wisdom,
Divine Feminine and Sacred Spirit,
guide me toward whatever produces life.
East — Truth
Face or visualize the East.
Say:
Sacred Air,
open my mind.
Give me curiosity strong enough to question even my cherished assumptions.
Ask:
Is it true?
Pause.
South — Courage
Turn toward the South.
Say:
Sacred Fire,
give me courage to change when learning requires change.
Ask:
Does it liberate?
Pause.
West — Compassion
Turn toward the West.
Say:
Sacred Water,
soften my heart without weakening my commitment to justice.
Ask:
Does it deepen compassion?
Pause.
North — Life
Turn toward the North.
Say:
Sacred Earth,
ground spirituality in the wellbeing of actual living beings.
Ask:
Does it help life flourish?
Pause.
Return to the Center
Look toward the candle.
Say:
Christ, teacher of radical love,
help me recognize good fruit.
Touch the Earth.
Divine Mother,
teach me to judge spirituality by how it treats the living world.
Touch the water.
Holy Spirit,
keep me flexible enough to grow.
Place your hands over your heart.
God and Goddess,
Sacred Mystery beyond my understanding,
free me from the fear of questions.
Now say slowly:
Truth without compassion can become a weapon.
Compassion without truth can become sentimentality.
Spirituality without justice can become escape.
Religion without freedom can become control.
Wisdom brings these things together.
Remain silent for several breaths.
Then pray:
May Christianity teach me the radical love of Jesus.
May Pagan wisdom deepen my reverence for Earth.
May science sharpen my understanding of reality.
May other spiritual traditions challenge my limitations.
May human experience prevent theology from becoming abstraction.
May I remain radically open without becoming careless, discerning without becoming dogmatic, and committed without becoming controlling.
Raise your hands slightly.
Truth.
Courage.
Compassion.
Life.
May these lights guide my pilgrimage.
We are one.
I will live and help live.
Amen and blessed be.
🌱 The Urban Pilgrim’s Practice
Test the Fruit
Choose one belief today.
It can be religious, political, cultural, or personal.
Instead of immediately asking whether the belief is traditional or popular, ask:
What fruit does this produce in my life?
Does it make you more compassionate?
More curious?
More courageous?
More generous?
More capable of recognizing another person’s dignity?
Or does it make you frightened, suspicious, cruel, arrogant, or obsessed with controlling others?
You don’t have to resolve everything today.
Just notice the fruit.
An Urban Pilgrim is allowed to inspect the trees along the road.
📖 Pilgrim’s Blessing
May the Sacred Mystery keep your heart open and your mind awake.
May Christ teach you that love is something practiced rather than merely believed.
May the Divine Feminine give you wisdom to recognize what nurtures life.
May the Spirit give you courage to change when change is necessary.
May Brother Sun illuminate what is true.
May Sister Water wash away what no longer serves life.
May Brother Wind carry new questions across your path.
May Mother Earth keep your spirituality grounded in reality.
May your questions deepen compassion.
May your convictions remain humble.
May your religion make you freer rather than smaller.
May your freedom help others become free.
May your life produce good fruit.
Eternal Progression.
A Fuller Life for Everyone.
Live and Help Live.
Remember:
We Are One.
And wherever tomorrow’s road leads—
Keep Walking.
Amen. So may it be.
