Walking with Christ. Honoring Creation. Building Peace Across All Faiths.

“Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”1 John 3:18

🌍 Interfaith Prayer for Peace

Peace Begins at the Table

Holy One, Sacred Mystery known through many names and encountered along many paths,

Today we pray for our one human family.

We remember Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Pagans, Baháʼís, followers of Indigenous traditions, people of other spiritual paths, and those who claim no religious tradition.

Where there is war, strengthen those working for reconciliation.

Where civilians live in fear, surround them with protection and compassionate helpers.

Where refugees search for safety, open doors of welcome.

Where hunger exists beside abundance, disturb us until we learn to share.

Where religious differences have become reasons for suspicion, give us the courage to sit together.

May churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, shrines, sacred circles, community centers, kitchens, and ordinary dinner tables become places where strangers discover one another as neighbors.

Teach us to listen without preparing an argument.

Teach us to disagree without hatred.

Teach us to defend human dignity without dehumanizing anyone.

And teach us that praying for peace means becoming responsible for the peace within our own reach.

May there be peace in our hearts.
Peace in our homes.
Peace among religions.
Peace among nations.
Peace throughout creation.

Amen. So may it be. Peace to all beings.

🌿 Daily Kilubansa Healing Ritual

Theme: The Healing Light of Morning

Place a bowl of clean water before you. Beside it, place a leaf, flower, healing herb, or stone.

Sit comfortably and take three gentle breaths.

As morning begins, say:

“Yesterday has passed.
This moment is here.
Healing remains possible.”

Invocation

Sacred Source of Healing,

Kilubansa, healing presence,

Meet us in the light of this new morning.

As sunlight touches Earth without asking who deserves its warmth, may healing compassion reach every person who suffers.

Bless tired bodies.

Calm anxious minds.

Comfort grieving hearts.

Strengthen those whose journey toward healing feels long.

Bless caregivers whose love is expressed through ordinary acts of service.

Bless physicians, nurses, counselors, chaplains, herbalists, families, friends, and communities who become companions in healing.

May the plants remind us to grow slowly.

May water remind us to remain open to change.

May Earth remind us that we are supported.

May sunlight remind us that darkness never possesses the final word.

Healing Action

Hold your hands above the bowl of water.

Imagine warm morning light surrounding them.

Say:

May these hands bring kindness.

Touch your forehead.

May these thoughts find peace.

Touch your heart.

May this heart remain open to love.

Then gently touch the water.

May healing flow where healing is needed.

Sit silently for several moments.

Closing

Say:

I welcome today’s possibilities.
I will be gentle with myself.
I honor the healing wisdom of creation.
I will become a healing presence wherever I can.

So may it be.

This is a spiritual practice and does not replace appropriate professional healthcare.

✝️ Order of Franciscan Clareans Reflection

The Gospel of the Open Table

Jesus had a curious habit.

He kept eating with the wrong people.

At least, that’s how respectable religion often saw it.

His tables included people whose reputations were questionable, people pushed toward society’s edges, and people religious gatekeepers might rather have avoided.

Francis discovered something similar among those his society considered untouchable.

Clare built community around simplicity rather than status.

Their witness reminds us that hospitality is not merely being friendly to people who already belong.

Hospitality means making room.

Another chair.

Another plate.

Another story.

Another person who thought there would never be room for them.

The church should never become a private dining room for people who have successfully learned the rules.

The Gospel table keeps expanding.

There is room for the doubter.

Room for the wounded.

Room for the poor.

Room for the queer person.

Room for the person rebuilding their life.

Room for the religious refugee.

Room for the person who doesn’t have their theology neatly organized.

And sometimes the person we are most reluctant to welcome may teach us something about God.

Today, practice the spirituality of the extra chair.

Make room.

Because whenever the circle of compassion becomes wider, we move a little closer to the world Jesus imagined.

Live simply.
Love boldly.
Welcome radically.
Leave an extra chair.

✨ Order of ChristoCorrellians Ritual

The Chalice of Many Waters

Place a cup or bowl of clean water at the center of your sacred space.

If appropriate, place a candle behind it.

Look at the water and remember that countless streams eventually join larger rivers, and rivers eventually find the sea.

Take three breaths.

Say:

Sacred Mystery,
God and Goddess,
Christ of Boundless Compassion,
Holy Spirit and Divine Feminine,
Presence flowing through creation,
meet me beside these sacred waters.

Touch the water.

Say:

One water, many rivers.
One light, many windows.
One human family, many paths.

Light the candle, if using one.

Say:

Christ, Light within the world,
teach me the way of radical love.

Hold your hands around the bowl without touching it.

Say:

Divine Feminine,
Sacred Wisdom,
teach me to nurture life rather than dominate it.

Place one hand upon the Earth or upon a stone or plant.

Say:

Sacred Earth,
teach me that spirituality cannot be separated from the living world.

Now imagine streams flowing from many directions toward one great river.

Each retains its history.

Each traveled a different landscape.

Yet the waters meet.

Pray:

May Christianity bring its wisdom to the table without demanding ownership of the table.

May Pagan traditions remind us of our sacred relationship with Earth.

May every path that produces compassion contribute its gifts toward humanity’s healing.

May I learn without stealing, honor without controlling, and encounter difference without fear.

Pause in silence.

Then lift the bowl slightly, if comfortable, and say:

Many rivers.
One Earth.
Many traditions.
One human family.
Many expressions of sacred mystery.
One calling to love.

Return the bowl to its place.

Christ within me.
Earth beneath me.
Spirit around me.
Sacred Mystery beyond me.

I walk the path of the bridge-builder.

Amen and blessed be.

🌱 The Urban Pilgrim’s Practice

Set an Extra Place

You don’t literally need another chair today.

Simply make room for someone.

Invite someone into a conversation.

Send a message to someone who has become isolated.

Listen to someone whose experience differs from yours.

Share food if you can.

Welcome the person standing awkwardly at the edge of the group.

And when your instincts whisper, “They’re not one of us,” become curious about that sentence.

The Urban Pilgrim knows something important:

Every stranger carries a story we haven’t heard yet.

📖 Pilgrim’s Blessing

May the Holy One enlarge your table.

May Christ teach you hospitality without boundaries.

May the Divine Feminine awaken tenderness within your heart.

May the Spirit give you curiosity when difference feels uncomfortable.

May Brother Sun remind you that light is not diminished by being shared.

May Sister Water teach you that many streams can travel together.

May Mother Earth remind you that before we created nations, denominations, religions, borders, and labels—

we were already neighbors.

Walk gently today.

Carry peace.

Practice healing.

Make room.

Build bridges.

And whenever someone wonders whether there is a place for them,

pull out another chair.

Amen. So may it be.
