    Every person is sorted, categorized, analyzed, and placed within systems of meaning before they have spoken a word.

    Gender has become both battleground and banner.

    For some, it is sacred ground.

    For others, a wound.

    For many, a necessary fight.

    Post-gender does not mock that fight.
